ABOUT US

Futurist Theatre Productions produces amateur shows throughout the North of England.

Run by Jamie Hudson and Catherine Moglia, Futurist offers exceptional pre-professional musical theatre performance opportunities and training for talented young people aged 10 to 30 (ish!). Previous productions have included Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar, Avenue Q, Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Yorkshire's Christmas Spectacular, and appearances at exclusive events such as West End and Friends have seen Futurist casts perform alongside the likes of Kerry Ellis, Maiya Quansah-Breed, Glenn Adamson, Luke Bayer and Shan Ako.

Operating across Leeds and the North of England, Futurist offer all of these experiences completely free of charge. As part of their firm belief that theatre should be accessible to all, Futurist will never a charge a performer to take part in productions or workshops- no rehearsal fees, costumes fees, or membership.

DOING IT RIGHT

Here at Futurist Theatre Productions, we passionately believe in trying to do ‘the right thing’ in all we do. Whether this be producing high calibre theatrical performances, or the way we use resources at rehearsal, we want to do what’s right for the people we work with, as well as the world we live in. We might not always get it right, but we believe lots of people doing a little can add up to a whole lot of change. You can view our Doing It Right policy here. If you have any suggestions on how we could improve, please do let us know via email, or our anonymous contact form on our Contact page.

TRAINING GRANTS

Futurist are delighted to have started up their own further training grant scheme to assist previous cast members in funding auditions and professional training in the Arts. Recent recipients are currently studying at Arts Ed, Performers College and Leeds Conservatoire. For more information on how to apply for a grant, please contact catherine@futurist.co.uk.
